Barn Photo Shoot Locations
The Gatehouse
Location: West Sussex, BN45
Built in 1920 and then converted and renovated in 2019, this former barn and stables is now a stunning family home stretching to 6,500 sq ft with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and incredible landscaped gardens.
Formed around a central courtyard this country location property features spacious open living spaces with beautifully crafted interiors. Styled with tasteful, minimal pieces and showcasing the use of natural materials. The lofty living spaces have exposed oak beams and towering ceiling heights up to 6m in the apex. The floors are polished concrete throughout and the walls are lime plaster. The arched crittal windows and doors create a real focal point and the shape is echoed in the connection between the living and dining space.
The Den
Location: London, W12
A freestanding studio barn conversion in the back of a main house garden, with private access and courtyard garden.
The location property is single level and has large double door access. The main living, kitchen dining space is open plan and boasts a double height vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and bare plaster walls. There are many period features including timber panelling to the lower part of the walls, herringbone parquet flooring and Victorian style cast iron radiators. The kitchen is a focal point painted in a bold yellow – matching the same tone of the smeg fridge, and the marble top island holds a contemporary gas range cooker.
The Georgian
Location: Devizes, SN10
Set in 5 acres this beautiful country property originally dates back to 1700 and has since had substantial additions in 1820 and further modernisation over recent years. The attractive stone facade has typical Georgian symmetry fronted by a large pond with fountain and is approached through black iron gates and a sweeping gravel driveway.
Outside the well maintained walled garden stretches to around 1 acre, and the rest of the grounds are made up of paddocks, one of which has a summer house and hot tub. There is an additional coach house at the end of the driveway housing 3 original stables and has a large room upstairs which runs the length of the building.
The Monastery
Location: Rye, TN31
Situated just 2 hours from central London in Rye, The Monastery is an incredible treasure trove of antiques, and an ever changing eclectic mix of props and art collected from all over the world.
Entered through large corten steel gates and into a private gravel courtyard the 14th century chapel has an imposing stone exterior. The location property itself is arranged across two main floors, with two additional mezzanine levels and ancillary rooms. The ground floor level comprises an entrance vestibule and dining room, painted in a Moroccan inspired deep pink with exposed beams and parquet floor. A set of stable doors open to the main room which has a very tall ceiling and industrial elements such as the exposed ironwork and concrete floors. The windows are placed high on this level giving lots of wall space and showering the room with light from above. There is a wall of contemporary panelling which offers a contrasting backdrop from the old lime plaster walls.
Millfield
Location: London, E5
A former barn and warehouse location turned residential unit with a vast, open, 1,400sq ft living space.
A new floor has been laid to provide an attractive and level, wide-plank surface. An ideal space for set build, this location can accommodate a number of different room sets, and the high ceiling offers greater flexibility for lighting. The property has two bedrooms, one on the upper level and the second on the ground floor which makes for an ideal area for wardrobe. There is a separate kitchen, loo and shower room, and access is directly from the road.
